BATES MOTEL TEASER TRAILERS- Two new teaser trailers were released today for the upcoming TV series, Bates Motel, starring Freddie Highmore as a young Norman Bates. Several thrillers on TV both past and present have frightened us to the core. Now it will be A&E’s turn to do the same, with it’s new addition that is hauntingly familiar. Amongst the recent trend of Hitchcock related films and TV movies, there is Bates Motel which will be the prequel TV series to Hitchcock’s most well known thriller, Psycho. Freddie Highmore will play the teenage Norman Bates and the series will show the evolution of Norman’s psyche and strange, passionate obsession with his mother played by Vera Farmiga. These teaser trailers are quite short, however it doesn’t take much to realize the horror, fear and strangeness that dwells within Bates Motel. This series is set to premiere in Spring 2013. I think it’s best to watch these with the lights on, don’t you?

PLOT: This series intends to give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first hand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history.
