THE NEWSROOM PROMO (Video) - From the creator of The West Wing and the screenwriter of The Social Network and Moneyball, Aaron Sorkin, HBO’s new fall series The Newsroom is set to premiere later this fall. The show will be starring actor Jeff Daniels as Will McAvoy, a news anchor who will stop at nothing to report exactly what he feels is deemed news worthy, whether others like it or not. Along with Daniels, the series stars Olivia Munn, Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel, and Sam Waterston. The series is set to premiere on June 24th.
PLOT: The series takes place behind the scenes at the fictional Atlantis Cable News (ACN) and centers around anchor Will (Daniels), his new executive producer Mackenzie MacHale (Mortimer), newsroom staff Maggie (Pill), Jim (John Gallagher, Jr) Sloan (Olivia Munn), Neal (Dev Patel), Don (Thomas Sadoski), and their boss Charlie Skinner (Sam Waterston).
