NINJA TURTLES CASTING – Since we found out Megan Fox has been cast as sexy reporter April O’Neil in Ninja Turtles, rumors have been going around about who will be starring as the turtles? Now, we have our answer. From left to right, we have Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher, who will star as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, respectively. Ploszek was last seen in an episode of Parks and Recreation, Ritchson is starring as Gloss in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Howard has been in various movies and TV shows, such as Breaking Bad and Galaxy Quest, and Fisher is most popular for playing Mickey on Shameless and Vladimir in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Instead of wearing costumes like the actors did in the original movies, the stars of Ninja Turtles will most likely be using motion-capture technology, similar to what’s been used for Avatar and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

PLOT: Aliens invade Earth and inadvertently spawn a quartet of mutated reptile warriors, the Ninja Turtles, who rise up against them to defend the world.

NINJA TURTLES CASTING – Cowabunga! It seems like Michael Bay and Megan Fox have finally buried the hatchet after their conflict during production on Transformers. Bay announced on his official website that the sexy actress will be joining Ninja Turtles, which Bay will be producing. Fox will most likely star as April O’Neil, the reporter and friend of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but as of now, no other details have been revealed. Another thing to note is that although the project is titled Ninja Turtles, Bay put “TMNT” on his website, so it might hint at a title change. Many fans were disappointed to hear that the film will change the turtles’ origins from growing up in a toxic waste sewer to invading Earth from outer space as aliens.

NINJA TURTLES BEGINS PRODUCTION - Filming for Michael Bay‘s reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will begin late summer in Vancouver.  Bay will give the legendary comic book story from 1984 a bit of a twist with the help of director, Jonathan Liebesman.  The once mutant turtles will now be aliens, hence the shortened title.  Although the original co-creator, Kevin Eastman, and original cast members from the 90s films are supportive of the alien direction, the fan community responded negatively towards the news.
