Various factions of the town mobilize to search for them and the town is turned upside down. Written by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola, Moonrise Kingdom is set to premiere as the opening film of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

“It was a story that I vaguely have in mind for several years and I wanted to do something that was about a romance between two children of that age because of my own memories” - Wes Anderson

“Theres a lot of big scenes in this and a lot of funny, cool things that you would never expect to see in a film, its just stuff that comes out of Wes’ mind.” -  Bruce Willis

“It take you back to the kinda romantic idealized notions of things you have as a kid but that probably most of us weren’t brave enough to actually dare to attempt to make real and this is about two kids who actually sort of dare to make their idealized notions their reality.” –  Edward Norton
