THE GREAT GATSBY RELEASED MOVED – Warner Bros. has just pulled the old switcheroo with Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby. Originally expected to release December 25 of this year, the Leonardo DiCaprio starring flick has been moved to summer 2013. WB execs said the pic had a feeling of more a tentpole type pic and the move was made to take advantage of the summer crowds.
PLOT: Nick Carraway, a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.
