PLAYING FOR KEEPS - Director Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) and screenwriter Robbie Fox are working with FilmDistrict to bring a new romantic comedy with an A-list cast. Playing for Keeps is a story about a former soccer star (Gerard Butler) who goes back home with his tail between his legs in order to put his life back together after his luck has seemed to run dry. Once home, he finds himself coaching his son’s soccer team. As he attempts to build his father-son relationship back up, he finds that it is more challenging than he thinks when all the soccer moms begin to flock towards him. Playing for Keeps also stars Uma Thurman, Jessica Biel, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dennis Quaid, Noah Lomax, Judy Greer, and James Tupper.
PLOT: A former professional athlete with a weak past tries to redeem himself by coaching his son’s soccer team, only to find himself unable to resist when in scoring position with his players’ restless and gorgeous moms.
