G.I. JOE: RETALIATION SHOWCASE AT CINEMACON (Exclusive Video) – Paramount Pictures showcased its summer blockbuster G.I. Joe: Retaliation at CinemaCon, the annual Las Vegas convention of movie theater owners.  The film’s star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was named CinemaCon’s Action Star of the Decade. He was joined on the red carpet by fellow actors Adrianne Palicki, DJ Cotrona and director Jon Chu.  Johnson, a former wrestling champion, has reinvigorated so many flagging movie franchises that he’s referred to in Hollywood as ‘franchise viagra.’

“It feels fantastic, yeah, it’s very humbling.  I’m a big fan obviously of action movies and action heroes and action stars of the years and decades so to be honored tonight its a great thing.” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

“CinemaCon has been amazing. I mean we get to be with not just distributors and people in the business but also our actors, we get to be with film lovers so this feels like a very warm environment here especially when you get to see the technologies of tomorrow.” Jon Chu
