Diane Kruger as the new Marie Antoinette in FAREWELL, MY QUEEN

FAREWELL, MY QUEEN TRAILER (Video) – Internationally acclaimed director Benoit Jacquot‘s film, Farewell, My Queen, will come out in theaters next month.  The film opened the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival in February and received outstanding reviews.  Diane Kruger stars as Marie Antoinette, the queen struggling with the consequences of her sexuality.  The French film is based on the best-selling novel by Chantal Thomas who takes a different approach on the historical drama as it follows Sidonie Laborde (Lea Seydoux), one of the queen’s readers, who refuses to leave her side no matter what.  The film moves from the gilded drawing rooms of the nobles to the back quarters of those who serve them.  The increasing turmoil in Paris seemed insignificant until the storming of the Bastille.  Within a few days, the fantasy world at Versailles will be flipped upside down.

PLOT:  Farewell, My Queen marks the return of acclaimed director Benoit Jacquot and brilliantly captures the passions, debauchery, occasional glimpses of nobility and ultimately the chaos that engulfed the court of Marie Antoinette in the final days before the full-scale outbreak of the Revolution.
