CHANNING TATUM AS EVEL KNIEVEL - Channing Tatum is in talks to produce and star in a movie about daredevil Evel Knievel for Sony’s Columbia Pictures. Reid Carolin, Tatum’s producing partner wrote the script, which is based on Stuart Barker‘s 2008 book Life of Evel. Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti will also be part of the producing team. This is the third movie about the daredevil who became a household name in 1970s for his nationally televised motorcycle jumps, his Stars-and-Stripes jump-suit and his 433 broken bones. George Hamilton first played the daredevil in the 1971 movie titled Evel Knievel, then in the 1977 movie Viva Knievel!, Knievel played himself.
