ANCHORMAN 2 NEWS – Will Ferrell‘s newscaster Ron Burgundy made an in-character appearance on Conan to announce the sequel to 2004′s Anchorman. “It’s Official, there will be a sequel,” he told Conan O’Brien as the audience cheered. Then he told O’Brien, “You look awful. You look like someone put a bright red fright wig on a skeleton and chucked it out of a helicopter.”
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy has been in the works for a while. Paramount had earlier declined the idea of a musical and a Broadway show pitched by Ferrell and director Adam McKay. McKay, producer Judd Apatow and co-stars Steve Carell and Paul Rudd from the original movie are expected to return.
